Optional AI for every event type, refreshed invitation editor, faster sign-in, and our first community launches
May 18, 2026
A month after launch, here's what we shipped — most of these came directly from feedback from our first users. Thank you!
AI is now optional for every event type: Birthday, Baby Shower, Graduation, and Housewarming used to require AI generation. Now you can skip it and use the free RSVP form alone — perfect if you already have your own design or want a no-cost option.
Edit every field after creating: The detail editor now exposes the full set of fields for every event type. Fix typos in dress codes, dietary notes, accommodation info, and anything else without recreating the invitation.
Refreshed invitation detail page: Step-style top navigation is replaced with floating side tabs that stay accessible as you scroll — easier to jump between Invitation, Guests, Gift Registry, and Share on both desktop and mobile.
Flexible photo pricing: Adding your own photo to the invitation is now cheaper, and the option auto-renders as "Free" when no extra cost applies to your event.
Custom event title as the hero: When you create a fully custom event, your event title now renders as the main heading on the AI invitation.
Clearer AI showcase on home: The "Try AI" toggle and video demo are unified into a single card, with deep links to per-event-type example pages.
Clickable links in host notes: URLs you paste into the host message on the RSVP page now auto-convert into clickable links for guests.
Event-type-specific fields shown to guests: The guest RSVP page now surfaces the right details per event type — dress code for dinner parties, degree type for graduations, home type for housewarmings, and more.
iPhone HEIC photos supported: Upload photos straight from your iPhone — no manual conversion needed.
No accidental double submits: Forms lock all inputs while submitting, so you can't accidentally click twice and create duplicates.
Free badge on free options: Free event categories now show a clear "Free" badge in the picker.
Free options first: When you open the type selector, free RSVP form options are shown first by default.
Homepage shortcut in dashboard: The dashboard sidebar now has a Homepage entry at the top for quick access to the landing page.
We've launched on a few discovery platforms — each plays a different role in helping makers, AI enthusiasts, and early adopters find products like ours:
Product Hunt — The world's largest community for product launches. Makers, designers, and early adopters gather here every day to share and discover new tools. We launched on PH to collect feedback from the maker community and connect with people who love trying things first.
There's An AI For That (TAAFT) — The largest directory of AI tools on the web, organized by use case. When someone needs an AI for a specific task, this is usually their first stop. Party Invitation is listed there under invitation generation and event planning.
BetaList — A curated showcase of early-stage startups. BetaList readers love discovering products before they hit the mainstream — we shared our story there for anyone who wants to follow our journey from day one.
If Party Invitation has helped you plan an event, please consider returning the favor — leave us an upvote, a review, or a quick comment on any of the platforms above. Every bit of feedback helps us improve the product, and helps more hosts discover that planning a party doesn't have to be stressful.
